2. Ball Joint Assembly
Ball Stud: Manufactured from bearing steel, the stud surface is carburized, quenched, and ground to deliver high hardness and excellent wear resistance, ensuring flexible and precise steering.
Ball Seat (Socket): Made of POM rubber and pre-packed with lithium-based grease, it minimizes friction and noise between the ball stud and socket.
Dust Cover: Constructed from chloroprene rubber, it resists oil and aging, preventing mud, sand, and moisture from entering the joint and causing wear.
Preload Spring: Formed from spring steel, it provides a continuous preloading force.
3. Bushing Assembly
Inner Core: Made of 45# steel with a zinc plating or electrophoretic coating for corrosion protection. It is rigidly bolted to the subframe or knuckle.
Rubber Elastomer: Composed of natural rubber in a hydraulic bushing design with an internal hydraulic fluid chamber. It offers high elasticity and fatigue resistance to absorb road impacts and filter noise. The hydraulic feature also dampens high-frequency vibrations by allowing fluid movement, thereby enhancing ride comfort.
Outer Shell: Made of aluminum alloy and assembled to the control arm body via an interference fit or welding, ensuring a strong bond between the bushing and the arm body.
