2. Ball Joint Assembly
Ball Stud: The stud is machined from bearing steel, then carburized, quenched, and ground across its surface. These steps create a hard, wear-resistant finish that supports precise, low‑effort steering.
Ball Seat (Socket): A POM rubber socket, supplied with lithium‑based grease pre‑installed, cuts down on friction and prevents rattling noises between the stud and the seat.
Dust Cover: Chloroprene rubber stands up to oil and aging, sealing out sand, moisture, and debris that could otherwise lead to internal wear.
Preload Spring: A spring steel element that holds a continuous preload on the ball joint.
3. Bushing Assembly
Inner Core: The core uses 45# steel with a zinc or electrophoretic coating for corrosion resistance. Bolted connections attach it rigidly to the subframe or knuckle.
Rubber Elastomer: Natural rubber is formed into a hydraulic bushing containing an internal fluid cavity. High elasticity and fatigue resistance let it absorb road impacts and cancel out noise. Moreover, as fluid moves through the cavity, high‑frequency vibrations are dampened — a direct boost to riding comfort.
Outer Shell: Aluminum alloy forms the shell, which is secured to the arm body by interference fit or welding. Either method guarantees a strong, lasting bond between the bushing and the arm.
