1. Arm Body
The main arm is formed from forged aluminum alloy via a die‑forging process. It is 40%–50% lighter than its steel counterpart while retaining high rigidity, which reduces unsprung mass and improves handling agility as well as ride comfort.
2. Ball Joint Assembly
Ball Stud: Produced from bearing steel with a case‑hardened and ground surface, offering excellent hardness and wear resistance for smooth and accurate steering.
Ball Seat (Socket): Made of POM (polyoxymethylene) and pre‑filled with lithium grease to reduce friction and eliminate noise between the ball stud and the seat.
Dust Cover: Made of chloroprene rubber (CR) – resistant to oil and aging – sealing out sand, moisture, and debris that could otherwise cause premature wear.
Preload Spring: Formed from spring steel, it provides a continuous preload to keep the joint tight.
3. Bushing Assembly
Inner Core: Manufactured from 45# steel, coated with zinc plating or electrophoretic paint for rust resistance, and rigidly bolted to the subframe or knuckle.
Rubber Elastomer: A hydraulic bushing made of natural rubber with an internal oil cavity. It delivers high elasticity and fatigue resistance, cushioning road shocks and filtering noise. The hydraulic fluid movement also attenuates high‑frequency vibrations, boosting passenger comfort.
Outer Housing: Made of aluminum alloy, attached to the control arm body by interference fit or welding to ensure a strong, durable bond.
