2. Ball Joint Assembly
Ball Stud: Fabricated from bearing steel, case‑hardened and ground to a smooth surface, offering excellent hardness and wear resistance for accurate, low‑friction steering.
Ball Seat (Socket): Made of POM (polyoxymethylene) and pre‑lubricated with lithium grease to reduce friction and suppress noise between the stud and the socket.
Dust Cover: Manufactured from chloroprene rubber (CR), which resists oil and aging, preventing sand, moisture, and debris from entering the ball joint and causing premature wear.
Preload Spring: Formed from spring steel, providing a constant preloading force.
3. Bushing Assembly
Inner Core: Produced from 45# steel with a zinc‑plated or electrophoretic coating for corrosion resistance, rigidly bolted to the subframe or knuckle.
Rubber Elastomer: A natural‑rubber hydraulic bushing that contains an internal oil chamber. It offers high elasticity and fatigue resistance, cushioning road shocks and filtering out noise. The hydraulic oil movement also attenuates high‑frequency vibrations, thereby improving ride quality.
Outer Housing: Made of aluminum alloy, attached to the control arm body by interference fit or welding, ensuring a strong, durable connection between the bushing and the arm.
