2. Ball Joint Assembly
Ball stud: For precise, low‑friction steering, the stud is made of bearing steel and then carburized, hardened, and ground to achieve a hard, wear‑resistant surface.
Ball socket (cup): To minimize friction and noise, the socket is injection‑molded from POM and pre‑filled with lithium grease.
Dust boot: To keep contaminants out, a chloroprene rubber boot seals the joint; it also resists oil and aging.
Preload spring: To maintain constant joint tightness, a spring steel preload spring applies a continuous preload force.
3. Bushing Assembly
Inner core: For secure attachment, the core is made of 45# steel, coated against rust, and bolted rigidly to the subframe or knuckle.
Rubber elastomer: For vibration control, natural rubber is combined with a hydraulic bushing that contains an internal oil chamber. This provides high elasticity and fatigue resistance, absorbing road shocks and filtering noise. Moreover, oil movement inside the hydraulic bushing dampens high‑frequency vibrations — further enhancing ride comfort.
Outer housing: For a strong connection, an aluminum alloy housing is attached to the control arm by interference fit or welding, ensuring the bushing stays firmly in place.
