2. Ball Joint Assembly
The ball stud is manufactured from bearing steel, then carburized, hardened, and ground. This treatment yields a hard, wear‑resistant surface capable of delivering precise steering with minimal friction. The ball socket (bearing cup) is injection‑molded from POM and contains pre‑applied lithium grease, effectively reducing both friction and operational noise. A dust boot made of chloroprene rubber provides a reliable seal against dirt, sand, and moisture, while offering strong resistance to oil and aging. Additionally, a preload spring fabricated from spring steel maintains a continuous preload force throughout the joint's service life.
3. Bushing Assembly
The inner core is machined from 45# steel and finished with either a zinc plating or an electrophoretic coating for corrosion protection. It is then rigidly fastened to the subframe or steering knuckle using bolts. For the rubber elastomer, natural rubber is integrated with a hydraulic bushing that contains an internal oil chamber. This design provides high elasticity and excellent fatigue resistance, allowing the bushing to absorb road vibrations and filter out noise. Furthermore, high‑frequency vibrations are dampened by the movement of oil inside the hydraulic bushing, which further enhances ride comfort. The outer housing is formed from aluminum alloy and attached to the control arm either by interference fit or welding, ensuring a robust and lasting connection between the bushing and the arm.
