2. Ball Joint Assembly
Ball stud: For precise, low‑friction steering, the stud is machined from bearing steel and then carburized, hardened, and ground. This creates a hard, wear‑resistant surface.
Ball socket: To minimize friction and noise, the socket is injection‑molded from POM and pre‑filled with lithium grease.
Dust boot: To keep contaminants out, a chloroprene rubber boot seals the joint; its oil‑resistant and age‑resistant properties ensure long‑term protection.
Preload spring: To maintain constant joint tightness, a spring steel preload spring applies a steady preload force.
3. Bushing Assembly
Inner core: For a rigid and secure attachment, the core is made of 45# steel, coated with zinc or electrophoretic finish, and bolted firmly to the subframe or knuckle.
Rubber elastomer: To absorb road vibrations and filter out noise, natural rubber is combined with a hydraulic bushing that contains an internal oil chamber. This provides high elasticity and fatigue resistance. Additionally, oil flow inside the hydraulic bushing dampens high‑frequency vibrations, further enhancing ride comfort.
Outer housing: For a strong and durable connection to the control arm, the housing is made of aluminum alloy and attached by either interference fit or welding.
